
A magnitude 5.2 earthquake was recorded in the waters of Negros Occidental on Saturday morning, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS).
The quake occurred at 8:33 a.m. and had its epicenter at 09.89°N, 122.01°E – 048 km N 73° W of the City of Sipalay.
PHIVOLCS said the earthquake had a depth of 10 km and was tectonic in origin.
No damage is expected but aftershocks may occur, it added. —KG, GMA Integrated News
