Sid is a dog who met the Sidewalk crew during one of their De Doorns outreach trips.
Sidewalk is a large-scale dog rescue and sterilization project in South Africa based in De Doorns. The organization’s goal is to help pets by providing free veterinary care and sterilization. As if that wasn’t enough, dogs with transmissible reproductive tumors can also receive free chemotherapy.
Sid was lucky enough to cross paths with Sidewalk.
Syed’s family wanted to euthanize the grieving dog at the time since she was diagnosed with cancer. TVT is recognized in them.
Fortunately, Sidewalk can help treat this type of cancer. They took Syed in and generously funded chemotherapy sessions in the hope of curing her.
They represented a ray of master’s light.
Although Sidewalk is willing to pay for the treatment, it seems her former family no longer wants her. It’s heartbreaking to see how easily the poor dog could be abandoned just because she was sick.
Master submitted
There were a total of twelve chemotherapy treatments. She persevered through the arduous procedures and came out successful.
Master is completely cancer free!
Not only that, she received another huge blessing: she finally found her forever home!
It was difficult to decide if someone wanted to adopt a dog with a history of cancer at first. Moreover, caring for a dog is an accomplishment in itself, especially if the dog has previously suffered from a terrible disease like cancer.
But everything went well for her.
She replaced her pain with pure joy in the embrace of a family that appreciates and loves her. She is now known as the little princess of the family.
She now spends her days with the other dogs, who have quickly become her closest companions. Now that she has overcome cancer, she is free to play whenever she wants.
She definitely deserves the whole world!
Syd seems to enjoy the kisses and hugs she receives from her father and her fur friends. She now understands some of the abilities and is eager to learn more. Sid is having the best time ever!
It’s also clear how much better she looks now than when Sidewalk first received her. She seems so healthy and cheerful now!
It’s all because of the sidewalk.
Sidewalk deserves our full respect and thanks for everything they do for these animals. Dogs deserve the best, and Syd certainly gave that and more.
Syd is now cancer-free and lives in a home where she is valued above all else. Every dog deserves it. What was once a cancer-ridden dog is now a healthy companion who can give and receive affection.
Congratulations to Sidewalk and any other group that helps our beloved dogs.
