Life can be very difficult for dogs in shelters especially if they have needs. Jack, a nine-month-old pup with spina bifida, had some difficulties finding a home. Despite the efforts of his team and a special day out captured on Facebook by Peaches Bully Rescue in Ohio, he was unable to find the family.
Disappointingly, after dressing Jack and preparing him for the 40-minute car ride to meet his adopters, they suddenly stopped responding. It was frustrating that he couldn’t find his home with them.
But the Facebook post about Jack’s situation went viral. It didn’t take long for another family to become interested. His story gained such popularity that it was even featured by People Magazine, The New York Post, and The Today Show! All the requests for help poured in after Jack’s story reached more than 3 million people.
It wasn’t just people from the United States; Families from countries such as Australia, the United Kingdom and Germany also came forward to provide him with a home.
Although Jack needs to wear diapers due to his medical condition, he is a natural being. It will be a great addition to the right family.
Thank God we were able to find him at home!
