When some people come home, they practice checking home to their families. Even pets happily run to their owner and wag their tails in anticipation of his arrival.
Some pet owners are used to waiting for their fuzzy companions when they get home from work. Such is the situation with Roman, who runs a midsize transportation company and works as an optometrist in Chicago, Illinois.
When Roman comes home from work, he always looks out the window first because his dog Toby is always waiting there for him.
This loving and persistent practice lasted eleven years.
However, Roman recently had to deal with a really difficult case. Toby, his faithful dog for many years, has passed away.
The cheerful dog that was waiting for him disappeared from his window.
Despite the fact that Toby has been gone for several years, Roman still comes home from work every day and stares reflexively out the window. But it’s all in vain. He will never see his beloved dog at his window.
Toby and Roman first met 14 years ago, when Toby was only two years old and had his dog then. his girlfriend
Toby was defecating in Roman’s living room when they first met, leading Roman to believe that Toby was a brat. At first, the two did not get along.
Smart Toby is a very loving dog. He is usually vicious and devious as he craves Roman’s attention. This causes a headache for Roman, and Toby frequently argues over trivial matters.
“Just treat Toby like a human child, don’t be angry with him constantly,” Roman was finally convinced by his girlfriend.
As a result, Roman tried to adjust his behavior around Toby, but he didn’t expect the puppy to change his behavior either, as if he understood.
A few years later, Roman and Toby became inseparable, and their bond even surpassed his and Toby’s girlfriend.
A few years later, Roman divorced his fiancée, and because he couldn’t live without Toby, he turned the house over to her.
The years passed, the people around him changed, but only Toby remained at Roman’s side….
Roman never felt lonely in the years he spent with Toby.
Roman usually works as an optometrist and works 8-10 hours every day. Toby gradually realized the rhythm of his working hours.
He was lying by the window, waiting for Roman to come home from work.
Toby is overjoyed when he sees Roman’s car arrive, then nods and waits for Roman to come to the door…
Toby would be perfectly happy if Roman was gone for a few minutes and then came back as if he hadn’t seen him in years.
Year after year, the wait continued day and night, spring, summer, autumn and winter….
Toby waits for his master to come home year after year.
Toby is an irreplaceable perfect dog in Roman’s heart. He is caring and kind, especially among young people.
Toby, unfortunately, had cancer and had several surgeries, including dilated cardiomyopathy, and was not in good health. In October 2018, he was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and kidney failure after three major surgeries.
Toby’s physique has grown so weak that by February 2019, he can no longer swallow.
Roman and his comrades did not want Toby to suffer any longer and bid him farewell. He made the decision to take Toby to the vet to be euthanized….
Toby has been missing for several years.
But Ruoman’s habit of staring out the window was inevitable. He was under the impression that Toby was always present and never left.
Toby gave Roman the warmest and most perfect friend out of love and happiness, so that Roman’s life would be filled with light and colour. Toby is much like any other furry kid here. Even if they sometimes cause trouble, they are a constant companion.
They gradually become our most faithful companions and, in some cases, even members of our family.
