The man was in the right place at the right moment to save a dog caught in an electric wire near a highway overpass.
David Friedman was on his way to work in Independence, Missouri, when he noticed the dog near the I-70 bridge.
“I spotted what appeared to be a dog swinging from the edge of some kind of electric box. “The rope definitely strangled him,”Friedman told Fox 4kc. “His feet were on the floor, but they barely touched. He was trying to move his head left and right but he couldn’t.”
Friedman immediately called 911 and grabbed a knife to free the dog. Notice the dog trying to breathe as soon as the dog is cut free. He couldn’t walk either, so he took the dog to the KC Pet Project after calming him down. The dog was equipped with an electronic chip and called Max, and his owner, D-Von, was looking for him. Vaughn was happy when he received news that Max had been found just two hours after his dog was reported missing, but he was saddened when he realized what had happened to his 16-year-old dog.
It is not known how Max got into this scenario. Was it an accident, or did someone try to hang Max on purpose? Vaughn believes that his older dog could not break the mile to where he was discovered. However, he told the TV outlet that security cameras may reveal what happened to his dog. The electrical wire wrapped around Max’s neck clearly indicates suspicious behavior. Vaughn added that he called the police and was asked to call Animal Control, which he plans to do.
But he is simply glad that Max is safe and sound because of Friedman.
He got the opportunity to greet Friedman personally and replied, ” Thank you, David, very much.”You stopped your job to go back and save my dog’s life.”
